Q: I live in New York City, what are some ideas for a long week end get-a-way? Roger from NYC
A: I don't know if you are looking for a romantic trip with a special someone or a family trip so I will highlight our favorites.
Quebec City - romantic spot, feels like you're in an ancient French town. Great food, shopping, sites, etc.
Montreal - a cosmopolitan city with something for everyone, great Jazz festival and a winter festival. Huge underground city great in the winter months.
Finger Lakes - a large area with spectacular scenery, over 110 wineries, great hiking, fishing, boating, quaint small towns, etc.
Baltimore - Take in a baseball game at Camden yards, party in the Inner Harbor area, fun place.
Jersey Shore - Try Cape May for a quiter time, Atlantic City for a wilder time or Pier Village in Long Branch for a sophisticated experience.
Newport, RI - Fun town with lots of shopping, bars and restaurants, a few beaches and a great hike by the mansions.
Hamptons - High end summer spot, also try winetasting at a few of the Ilands top notch wineries.
Lambertville/New Hope - great shopping, restaurants and a beautiful setting. Many antique stores.
Philadelphia - Great for kids, historical sites, shopping. For a more adult time, South street is filled with fine dining and shopping.
